Short Itinerary :

Day 1: Drive from Dehradun to Sankri

Day 2: From Sankri to Juda ka talab trek

Day 3: From Juda ka talab to Kedarkantha base camp

Day 4: Trek from Kedarkantha Base Camp to Summit and back to Juda ka talab

Day 5: From Juda ka talab to sankri and Drive to Dehradun


Detailed Itinerary:
• Day 1:

Hikers will be picked up at 7:00 AM from Dehradun train station or Petal Nagar for a scenic journey to Sankri. Along the way, you'll pass through Govind National Park, with stunning views making the trip enjoyable. We'll reach Sankri by 5:00 PM, where you'll settle into a homestay and explore the Sankri village before resting for the night.


• Day 2:

We start our hike from Sankri to Juda-Ka-Talab, a 4-kilometer trek reaching 2,800 meters (9,100 feet). Along the way, you'll walk through dense forests of pine and maple, crossing streams and oak woodlands. Juda-Ka-Talab offers stunning views that will captivate you. Spend the night in tents, feeling close to nature in this beautiful setting.


• Day 3:

We'll start our trek to the Kedarkantha base, located at 3,500 meters, early in the morning. The trail takes you through dense oak and pine forests before opening up to beautiful meadows. Along the way, you'll enjoy stunning views of famous Himalayan peaks like Kala Nag, Bandarpoonch, and Swargarohini. You'll spend the night in tents, sleeping under a sky full of twinkling stars.


• Day 4:

On day four, we start at 2 AM to catch the sunrise from Kedarkantha peak. After a quick breakfast, we'll hike to the summit at 12,500 feet, with temperatures dropping and wind chills as low as -15°C. The climb is tough, but the 360° Himalayan views are worth it. After half an hour at the top, we'll descend to Juda Ka Talab via Hargaon, enjoying some snow sliding on the way.


• Day 5:

After breakfast, you'll begin the final hike back to Sankri from Juda-ka-Talab, taking about 2 to 3 hours. As you descend, enjoy the beautiful views of Sankri Valley. The dense forest will gradually open up, revealing the village. This marks the end of your memorable trek. By 9 PM, you'll be dropped off at the Dehradun train station.

  • Any personal expenses not mentioned above

  • Any cost arising due to any unforeseen situation including any medical emergency or natural calamities, Unexpected delay due to road block etc

  • Food during transit (Dehradun to Sankri and return)

  • Mule/Porter for personal luggage


Things to Carry :

  • Basic Essential (Main Bag - Preferably rucksack, Small Bag - 10-20L for  Summit Day, Water bottle (Mandatory-refillable), Trekking Shoes (Preferably waterproof), Original ID card)

  • Clothing Essential & Head Protection (Pairs of light clothing as per need, Warm Clothing Sweater/ Woolen/Jacket, Towel- handkerchief - Napkin, Slipper/Sandals, Cap/Hat/Scarf to protect head in case of direct Sunlight, Glares/Sunglasses Mandatory (Without this snow blindness may happen)

  • Personal Utilities & Accessories (Personal Medication (if required), Lip balm, Mosquito Repellent, Sunscreen, Body-lotion, Toothbrush-Paste (as per personal need), Camera, Charger, Earphone, Power bank)

1. Sometimes we change/add places or experiences in the itinerary to make the overall experience unique for each batch depending on group interest, weather, Special occasion and crowd conditions. So please be open to experience something authentic.

2. Instructions and rules have been adopted for the safe enjoyment of the

activity and I agree to adhere to those regulations mentioned or instructed

during the event.

3. Smoking or drinking alcohol, indulging in drugs or doing anything that leads to

intoxication is restricted during any activities that involve risks. We do not

encourage it to do the same anywhere else.

4. Any inconvenience created for fellow participants, organizers, respective

owners of the property or locals in terms of intentional delays, property

damage, vehicle damage, abuse or misbehave may lead to termination of

participation
